It begins in late August with a the leaves on a single tree.  You take note of it, but deny it’s even happening because of summer’s steamy heat.  As the month lurches along you begin to notice other trees showing the same signs and shut your eyes to pretend you haven’t seen it.

September begins. Morning temperatures start creeping lower.  The sun begins setting before 9pm, and the nights grow cooler.  The light subtly starts to shift, and the leaves begin to drift.  It’s fall.
